The 2024 Don Hawley Tarpon Tournament celebrated its 50th year with an outstanding 168 tarpon released. During the five day event, the fishing continued to heat up each day, with a week record of 43 released fish on day four.
The final days were close amongst the fleet, but the top three teams pulled through with remarkable fishing. Angler Wes Ball and Captain Charlie Tindall took home 2nd Runner-Up with 15 releases for the week. Just ahead of Ball and Tindall was angler Tim O’Brien and Captain Paul Ross, taking home 1st Runner-Up with 18 released fish. Angler Julian Robertson and Captain Rob Fordyce pulled a five fish lead from O’Brien and Ross, taking home Grand Champion with a whopping 23 releases for the week.
